This book is a bit old, but Linux didn t change that much It still helps a lot, and this version is free of errors, by contrast with the translated editions that are available and expensive I can only recommand this book.

For those of us everybody who don t have the time or patience for studying this book is great I m now in my 5th noob year of using Linux and this little book is becoming invaluable I don t have to remember the specifics, just learn the broad strokes and use this as a reference for the details perfect Recommended for ALL users

I am a long time Ubuntu user, but this book has been a tremendous resource for learning infrequently used command and command options The book is fantastic for both seasoned and new users because it is well organized and well written Syntax options are fully documented with working examples and the explanations are concise, but meaningful.

As a Linux beginner, I ve gone to this well many times Well organized with lots of useful examples.

For a none programmer it is still a little hard to read and understand the instructions in this Easy to use book.
